Two independent studies were aimed at exploring psychometric characteristics of the Organizational Justice Scale (Colquitt, 2001) which was translated into Serbian language. The goal of the first one was to explore the instrument dimensionality, internal consistency and item discrimination. The sample consisted of 332 employees residing in Banja Luka. The results confirmed the original four-factor structure of the instrument and the following dimensions: Distributive justice (perception of justice in the allocation of organizational resources), Procedural justice (perception of justice in organizational policies and procedures for making decisions on resources allocation), Interpersonal justice (perception of courtesy and respect in superiors’ behaviour) and Informational justice (perception of the appropriateness of obtained information on rules and procedures which are applied within the organization). The study resulted in high and acceptable internal consistency coefficients for the four given subscales. The internal coherence of the scale was good. The other study was aimed at verifying the criterion validity of the Scale of organizational justice in predicting behaviour and attitudes toward work: organizational citizenship behavior, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction. The sample was made up of 474 employees residing in Banja Luka. The obtained results are in accordance with the theoretical expectations and showed that the Scale of organizational justice can predict the responsible organizational behavior, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction. The results supported the applicability of the instrument to the local population.Metrics
