ULOGA USAMLJENOSTI U RELACIJI ZDRAVLJA I SUBJEKTIVNOG BLAGOSTANJA U STAROSTI

Sažetak

Usamljenost je konstrukt kojem se posvećuje sve više pažnje kada se govori o populaciji starih. Iako u ovoj fazi života stare osobe objektivno ostaju bez brojnih manje ili više bliskih relacija, na usamljenost ipak gledamo prvenstveno kao na rezultat subjektivne procene pojedinca. Kada je u pitanju relacija zdravlja i subjektivnog blagostanja u starosti rezultati dosadašnjih istraživanja su nekonzistentni. U ovom istraživanju smo ispitivali da li i na koji način usamljenost utiče na relaciju zdravlja i subjektivnog blagostanja starih osoba. Uzorak je činilo 204 stare osobe sa teritorije Srbije, a prikupljanje podataka je sprovedeno tokom druge polovine 2014. godine. Od ukupnog broja ispitanika, starosti od 65 do 92 godine (M = 72.57), 121 osoba (59.3%) je bila ženskog pola. U istoj vremenskoj tački za svakog ispitanika prikupljene su dve mere zdravstvenog statusa (objektivnog i subjektivnog), mere kognitivnih i afektivnih indikatora subjektivnog blagostanja (zadovoljstvo životom, pozitivan afekat, negativan afekat i distres) i mera usamljenosti. Na prikupljenim podacima je sprovedeno osam hijerarhijskih regresionih analiza sa indikatorima zdravlja kao prediktorima i usamljenošću kao moderatorom. Dobijeni rezultati ukazuju na generalno deterioriraći efekat usamljenosti na dobru adaptaciju u starosti. Prilikom ispitivanja moderatorske uloge usamljenosti dobijena je samo jedna značajna interakcija (β = .23, p < .01). Osim što ostvaruje glavni efekat sa svim indikatorima subjektivnog blagostanja, usamljenost ostvaruje i interaktivan efekat sa subjektivnom procenom zdravlja kada je u pitanju procena zadovoljstva životom kod starih. Osobe koje svoje zdravlje subjektivno procenjuju kao lošije, istovremeno izveštavaju i o nižem zadovoljstvu životom, ali samo pod uslovom da su i visoko usamljene. Kod osoba koje nisu usamljene ne postoji povezanost između subjektivne procene zdravlja i zadovoljstva životom.
