Abstract

Aim of this paper is to conceptually, graphically and mathematically present principles of latent growth modeling (LGM). Model is presented as a part of more general approach of structural equation modeling (SEM). Application of LGM is presented through examples of result structures. Extensions and limitations of basic model are thoroughly discussed. Review also gives information about previous study results in which latent factors are used for data modeling, since it is presumed that latent factors are base for both general and specific developmental trajectories.
