Abstract

The main subject of the paper is to examine the possibilities of application of the TIP-1 instrument for dynamic assessment of the zone of proximal development. In the survey for each child is received information about the zone of current development (ZCR) and, with appropriate modifications of testing procedures, the information of the zone of proximal development (ZPD). The results show that the zone of current development and the zone of proximal development are positively correlated (r = .50); the bigger ZCR the bigger ZPD, and vice versa; the lower self-achievement in a child, the smaller improvement in collaboration with a more competent adult. The results were in line with expectations formulated on the basis of Vygotsky’s theory, as well as with the results of previous studies. Based on the research practical recommendations are defined for psychologists who deal with prematurity test for the school.
